Woo hoo! Sometimes it pays to click every link and sign every petition ever sent to you. Thirteen bucks ain't that piddley either, considering I have a check for .77 hanging on my fridge from posting my mp3's on vitaminic a few years back. In other big time California news, I almost started crying at the polls today when they handed me my independent ballot. I thought I'd at least get to vote for, I don't know, the senate. There was nothing there! I did a mass write in of all my fav politicians (ah, oxymorons) which was promptly rejected by the ballot eating machine, causing questions and confusion among the not-so-able bodied poll takers. On the news last night they reported an expected 35% turn out today because "people are really burnt out from the November recall election." Ha, those newscasters slay me. So burnt out, I'm just so weary, oh no, I couldn't possibly take part in my democracy a mere four months after the painstaking process of drawing a few lines with a marker. I'm reading Dude, Where's My Country? right now, and boy it's amazing what shit can go down when people are too burnt out to pay attention.
